AIDA: ASC Front Door

Your Digital Adult Social Care Front Door

24/7 SUPPORT WHENEVER RESIDENTS NEED IT

People needing Adult Social Care information and advice can access trusted advice at any time through a dedicated website and an AI-powered digital assistant on WhatsApp, without needing to wait for office hours, and get answers to very personal and often complex situations in seconds.

EVERYTHING STORED IN ONE PLACE

Aida ASC Front Door brings together local services, financial support, wellbeing advice, benefits information, community groups and practical guidance into a single, easy-to-use platform, reducing the need to search across multiple websites.

CO-DESIGNED WITH COUNCILS

The service has been co-designed with the councils, ensuring the content, language and support reflect real-life caring experiences and the challenges carers face every day.

ACCESSIBLE, INCLUSIVE SUPPORT FOR EVERYONE

Available in multiple languages and via familiar channels such as WhatsApp, Aida ASC Front Door makes it easier for more residents to access information and support, helping reach those who may never have engaged with services before.

The Challenge

Adult Social Care information and advice can be complicated to navigate and hard to understand, often services are investigated or accessed at a time of crisis and the information can be overwhelming, baffling and/or hard to find. From a council point of view, resources are stretched and teams are often spending a lot of time responding to simple or routine queries. The people needing help are often trying to access out of hours or need help in their native tongue, which provides further disconnect from those at need and the information on offer.

Co-Designed with Councils

Aida has been co-designed with Norfolk County Council, Bradford Council and West Northamptonshire Council and has been specifically developed to reduce demand at the front door, make it easier for people to find the right information more quickly, help manage expectations around ASC, better support unpaid carers, enable the ongoing conversation and much more.

The Solution

Aida develops an approach with local authorities and their partners, which adds a digital assistant to the team, one that is available 24/7, talks in their language and corresponds with people based on your curated content, as well as pulling information live from your care directories.

Golden Stories

Key features

Allowing a conversation with your content

Your digital assistant allows users to have a conversation with your knowledge. A conversation in their language at a time that suits them.

Reassurance

Aida ASC Front Door comes with a host of guardrails and security built in to give you the reassurance that the advice offered is from trusted sources and delivered in the right tone.

Making the Complex, Simple

Allowing residents to interact with your content in their words means quicker, easier access to the right information.

A Member of your Team

Your digital assistant is an extended member of your information and advice team. Available 24/7, in any language and with no limits. It can also link conversations to any follow up interaction so a user has a joined up journey with your services.

Trackable Results

All conversations with your assistant are tracked allowing you to monitor and report on use. This can help inform decisions around missing knowledge as well as deliver insight on use – e.g. common needs, languages used, repeated usage.

Feedback Loops

Using channels such as WhatsApp, we can set up feedback loops to check in on users after their conversations. This can help you understand how well your digital assistant performed.

Scheduled Messaging

Scheduled messaging takes advantage of WhatsApp’s ability to proactively send messages to people. Within the solution we are able to create simple one-off feedback forms all the way through to ongoing regular messaging schedules to support specific cohorts. For instance Bradford’s digital assistant Annie sends a simple feedback message on Day 1 checking that the person received the information they needed and asking for feedback. Whilst across South Yorkshire carers are enrolled in an 18 week schedule of support messages when they first start chatting with their digital assistants with messages covering their personal wellbeing, relevant local services, personalised updates & more.

Alongside scheduled messages, which are easily configured by our team in collaboration with partners, Aida has the ability to send one-off ‘Broadcast’ messages to all users, when there is something newsworthy, relevant and interesting to share. In both co-production and testing, carers confirmed that proactively receiving messages would be valuable to help understand what was available to them.

Scheduled messaging can be configured to support a range of services including keeping in touch with the waiting well, supporting people through their assessment process and gathering regular feedback at scale.

quote

The feedback that we get from people using it is really good. The service really like it. I think in the CQC assessment, we’ve got some good marks around the innovation side. It’s a no-brainer how good the quality is.
